The FAMAG 1620 Bormax® WS Three-Cutter is designed for fast and precise drilling in wood-based materials.

Its three offset main cutting edges reduce feed pressure during drilling. A toothed peripheral cutting edge helps reduce friction and heat build-up improving drilling speed, cutting quality and tool life. The cutting geometry creates more chip space for efficient material removal.

A hex shank provides improved power transfer from the drill. The bit performs well in handheld drills and stationary machines.

It is suitable for softwood, European hardwood, chipboard and MDF.

⭐ Key Features

• Three offset main cutting edges

• Cutting centre point for accurate positioning

• Toothed peripheral cutting edge

• Longitudinal grooves help reduce friction

• Low heat generation during drilling

• Reduced feed pressure required

• Optimised chip clearance

• Hex shank for improved power transfer

• Suitable for handheld and stationary drilling

• Available from 15 mm to 40 mm diameter

⚡ Fast Drilling Performance

The three-cutter design removes material quickly and efficiently. Reduced friction allows the bit to drill with less resistance. This can make repetitive drilling faster and easier. The optimised cutting geometry also improves chip evacuation.

🌡️ Reduced Heat Build-Up

The toothed outer cutting edge is designed to minimise friction. Lower friction helps reduce heat generated during drilling. This contributes to longer tool life and consistent drilling performance.

🎯 Accurate Cutting Geometry

The centre point features a cutting geometry for accurate positioning. Three staggered cutting edges create a clean and controlled drilling action. The peripheral cutting edge helps produce a precise hole circumference. This makes the bit suitable for high-quality woodworking applications.

🔩 Hex Shank

The hexagonal shank improves power transmission from the drill, it also helps reduce slipping inside the drill chuck. This is useful when drilling larger diameters or harder materials.
